MyOdds is an entertainment app for joke betting lines among friends. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control it. Plain English.
1. What we collect
Device identifier. A random UUID generated on first launch and stored on your device. This is how Crews recognize you as a member. It is not tied to your name, email, or Apple ID.
Bet history. The questions you type, the AI-generated odds, and any wins/losses you mark — all stored locally on your device.
Crew data. If you join a Crew, your display name, your locked-in bets, and your prediction votes are stored on our server so other Crew members can see them.
Anonymous usage metrics. We log basic events (bets generated, app opens, ads watched) to understand product usage. No personally identifying info.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA). If you allow tracking via the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt, Google AdMob may use your IDFA to serve more relevant ads. You can decline and the app still works.
2. What we do NOT collect
Your name, email, phone number, or address
Your contacts or photos
Your location
Your voice — speech recognition runs fully on-device via Apple's Speech framework
Anything from outside the app
3. Third parties
Anthropic (Claude) — third-party AI service. To generate your odds and commentary, the scenario text you type or speak is sent to Anthropic, PBC's "Claude" AI through our backend server. This is the only data shared with Anthropic — we send no name, email, contacts, location, or device ID, so it is not linked to your identity. We ask for your permission in the app, before any text is sent, the first time you generate odds (and you can review this any time in Settings → "How MyOdds uses AI"). Anthropic processes the text solely to return a result and, per its policy, does not use API inputs to train its models; it provides protections substantially equivalent to those described here.
